[sent quite early in the morning; what is essentially a reading list, comprised primarily of a mix of horror (mostly very American things like Lovecraft, King) fantasy (mostly very British things like Tolkien, Pratchett), and speculative fiction (a wide variety with no real discernible theme). in addition to the genre fiction is a section devoted more to what you might call the classics, and Magnus' "shadow" bias seems to be obvious there, with books like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Fahrenheit 451 and A Clockwork Orange predominating. there are also a few graphic novels featured, all more serious things like The Sandman and Watchmen]
